Living in the Innovation Labs

The Apple iPod is said to be an innvoative product. I learned a few days ago that the MP3 format and WAW originated at the Frauenhof Institute in Germany.

It would be nice to get more details about this.

Skype was Invented here on the old continent but eBay decided to make it to a part of its money machine.

EU is good on innovation but we need to think more in terms of applications and business innovations.

European Network of Living Labs places

The European Network of Living Labs was launched on the 20th of November 2006. The launch took place at the Dipoli Congress Centre in Espoo Finland in connection with a conference entitled "The European Network of Living Labs: A Step Towards a European Innovation System".
The European Network of Living Labs is an important step towards a new European innovation infrastructure. The Network includes, in its first phase, 20 Living Labs from 15 European countries. It also involves more than 100 active researchers and a representative group of innovative European companies. The Living Labs network concentrates on the development of new information society services, businesses, technologies and markets and places people at the very centre of product development and innovation.

About orchestrating a Personal EU era

I wish I could be in the Living Labs workshop today. Just to see from your faces that you all are live persons, unique Living Labs.

In speaking about Living Labs I hope we don't forget, that we ourselves as citizensand professionals are the base unit of EU's success.

Naturally we have to work wonders, but nobody else will do it for us personnally.

That's why all 500 000 000 EU citizens have (the pleasure) to be essential on union level.

FP7

I see that things are boiling up around FP7. We are collecitng a Finnish dream team to become a part of development processes where we could share and contribute.

Using blog entries to express new ideas or initiatives related to FP7

Our communities’ website (www.ami-communities.eu) is now ready to become your Collaborative Web Environment for preparing with partners your new project initiatives for the 7th Framework Programme (FP7).

You are all kindly invited to create your own privately held shared workspaces, from your root folder, where to invite partners for contributing to new project initiatives. We also kindly recommend you to personalise your profile page, express your interest and potential project initiatives for the FP7 ICT work programme in simply using your own blog entries.

Living Labs. Living?

Soon 3 months ago during its EU presidency Finland launched the European Network of Living Labs.

I'm not the only one who after that has tried to find the website to that project. The result is just links to old pages with links to old pages with links...

The most trustable place in that carousel seems to be this AMI@Work site. Here people have expressed their interests to LL and in the AMI groups I can find the key persons of LL operations in different countries. Is it so?

Hello again

I haven't been here for ages. I see that Kurt has been more active. How are things in this forum? I felt it was getting pretty quiet. Feeling lonely in this environment. Hope to see more bloggers and postings. Have a great day.

Personal EU now "at home": www.personaleu.eu

Until now you've found it on
www.personaleu.net - but to point out that I really want us all together to make the Personal EU era come true, I brought it home to .eu

Innovative Interactivity!

Kurt

AMI@FP7 and the Personal EU era

My Dear AMI Friends,

One short presentation in a AMI@Work workshop in Brussels 5th February 2005 brought me more high class union-level friends than my entire Personal EU developments since 1995. I still hear your applauds and become nice feedbacks.

However, that's not enough at all: The Personal EU era is as far away as then and no really forwarding projects have run towards my "worlds most advanced innovation society".
