WISTCIS
Outlook Conference "Information Society Priorities: New Prospects for
European CIS Countries", Moscow, Russia
The conference is funded by the EU Information Society Technologies Programme
and organised by International Association EDNES (Earth Data Network for
Education and Scientific Exchange) in the framework of the project WISTCIS
(?New methods of Working for Information Society Technologies Programme
Promotion to Commonwealth of Independent States?).
The conference goals:
- Strengthen scientific and technological co-operation between
European Union (EU) and CIS countries;
- Promote development of new technologies, applications and
creating of new roles for technology in the field of public services including
eGovernment, eHealth, eLearning and eCulture, ensuring higher security of the
information infrastructure and a wider availability of broadband access to
create a dynamic business environment;
- Demonstrate IST Programme results and promote FP6 to CIS;
- Encourage submission of new project proposals to Information
Society Priority of FP6.
We invite all European projects, companies, universities and individuals
interested in IT applications and collaboration with CIS countries to take part
in the conference.

The Central European Land Knowledge Center (CELK) is a new regional
Center established by the World Bank (WB) and the Government of the Republic of
Hungary. The Center?s mission is to serve Central, Eastern and South-Eastern
European countries as a regional knowledge management, dissemination and
advisory center on land related issues. The Center assists these countries to
secure functioning land tenure regimes, support sound land market development
and improve sustainable land management through its information and networking
services.
